Mahendra Kapoor (9 January 1934 – 27 September 2008) was an Indian playback singer.
In a profession career over five decades, his collection reached out to 25000 tunes in different provincial dialects, including mainstream melodies, for example, 'Chalo ek baar phir se Ajnabi boycott jayen murmur dono' (Gumrah), and 'Neele gagan ke story' (Hamraaz). His name however turned out to be most nearly connected with energetic melodies including 'Negligible Desh Ki Dharti' in Manoj Kumar's film Upkaar. In 1972, he was honored the Padma Shri by the Government of India.
Mahendra Kapoor is a big devotee of hanuman ji and hanuman chalisa ,so he sung hanuman chalisa in his great melodious voice .
